About the Office of International Programs

The Office of International Programs is located at 508 Washington Avenue.
Study Abroad
The Office of International Programs is committed to encouraging all students to consider study abroad programs as an integral part of their college experience. Besides the obvious benefits of study abroad for language students and students of international studies, our programs have far-reaching benefits for students of all majors.
International Programs staff are responsible for recruiting Washington College students to study abroad, guiding them through the application process, preparing them for their time abroad, and providing continual support and communication to the student while they are abroad.

The Office of International Programs offers a friendly support system to help guide our new international students during their time at Washington College. Comprised of a staff of two and three student assistants, the office is dedicated to facilitating the best experience for all of our students at Washington College.
OIP organizes International Student orientation, cultural exchange events, provides peer counseling, visa information, and offers support to international students in academic, social, personal, and cultural adjustment. International Student Peer Counselors are available to answer questions and offer assistance when the office is closed.
