The Washington College in Granada Semester Program is a joint venture between Washington College and the University of Delaware that allows students to experience life in the capital of the province of Andalusia in southern Spain.

Granada's close proximity both to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea gives it the best of two beautiful environments, including both summer and winter sports. The grand Alhambra palace makes the city one of Europe's showplaces. The Universidad de Granada, founded in the sixteenth century, will host the Semester in Granada.Upon arrival in Spain, you'll spend several days touring in and around the bustling capital city of Madrid, visiting the famous Palacio Real and the Prado museum, and taking day trips to the nearby medieval cities of Segovia and Toledo and the monastery of El Escorial. During the course of the program, weekend excursions will take you to the Andalusian cities of Cordoba and Seville and to the famous "Costa del Sol." The program also typically features day trips to sites in and around Granada, such as the Alhambra and the Cartuja Monastery.
