Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, Tuition Exchange Program
The Pontifica Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP) is a highly prestigious world-renowned academic institution that has formed outstanding professionals for more than eighty years. Founded in 1917, the Pontifica Universidad Catolica del Peru is the oldest-established private higher education institution in Peru. Located on a 43-hectare campus and with a student population of more than 17,000 the University's teachers, students and graduates are dedicated to the achievement of the highest standards in research and academic work.
The City of Lima
Situated on the central West coast of South America, Peru offers an immense variety of landscapes and climates, as a result of the peculiarities of its geographical location. The City of Lima, founded in 1535, is the most important city and capital of Peru. Located in the central coastal region, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Lima is home to approximately 8 million people. Lima is the cultural center of Peru and offers entertainment for young people in the form of theaters, cinemas, cafes, bars and discotheques, which are to be found especially in Miraflores and Barranco, the city's two foremost cultural districts.
Academic Program
Exchange Students enroll at the School of Special Studies. PUCP offers those foreign students interested in acquiring a more profound understanding of the country the possibility of obtaining the "Certificate of Peruvian Studies". Students may also take regular courses offered by the University provided they have taken the prerequisite courses.

- Semester 1: March—July

- Maximum Course Load: 3 courses per semester (between nine and twelve credits)
Orientation
General orientation lectures on the University and the city of Lima will be offered, and the International Relations Office gives permanent guidance.
University Services
Students will have full access to university facilities and services, including medical services, a general resources library, magazine and journal libraries, computer laboratories, access to Internet, sports facilities, gymnasium, and Cultural Center.
Extracurricular Activities
Students will be able to take part in extracurricular activities accompanied by experts: city tours around Lima, visits to the city's main museums and field trips to archaeological sites.
Housing and Board
Overseas students have the option to board with Peruvian families. This provides maximum opportunity for the practice in the Spanish language, and offers the opportunity of unique experience of social and family life in Peru.
Requirements
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Strong academic record.
- Evidence of good character, maturity, and motivation.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to a foreign environment.
- Strong intermediate to advanced proficiency in Spanish
